QUESTION:

ANSWER:

Why is my diffuser works for a few days and it stops working now.

-- Each KOKO AROMA diffuser has different level of water capacity. Please do not overfill it with the water as it will stop working. It will stop working when the water level is low and it will do the same when the water level is too high over the limit. (Athena, Venus, Eve-Red indicator;  Atlas-300ml only)

Does it automatically shut off when the water runs low?

-- KOKO AROMA essential oil diffusers come with auto-shutoff abilities. Feel easy as the diffuser can shut off by itself when the water level is low. The unit will not work without water.

Is it a plug in device or battery operated?

-- The diffuser is electric and you can plug into any outlet.   This AC adapter accepts 100-240 volts power input.

Does it include the oils?

-- No, Koko Aroma essential oil diffusers do not include the essential oils. However, we would like to recommend the 100% pure therapeutic grade Juju Aroma Essential oils.

We only carry best of the best. If you would like to review our products for free, please contact us via the website.

What kind of the material is in your diffusers?

-- Let’s start with our Athena and Atlas models -the outer cover is made of polypropylene (PP). The lower base is made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). Both materials are BPA free and safe for essential oils.

Venus Glass and Eve Glass – these two models are made of glass and the lower base is made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). Both materials are BPA free and safe for essential oils.

Can I use the diffusers as a humidifier?

-- Yes – KOKO AROMA diffusers can be used as both an essential oil diffuser or humidifier. If you would like to use its aromatherapy effect, use 2-3 drops of essential oils per 100ML water. If you don’t put essential oils into the water tank, the unit can be used as a small humidifier.

Does this diffuser use heat to create the mist?

-- No, this diffuser does not use heat to make the mist/vapor. KOKO AROMA uses advanced ultrasonic vibration at approximately 2.4MHz to disperse the water and oils into the air. It utilizes electronic frequencies to cause a small disk under the surface of a liquid (usually water) to vibrate at a very fast rate. These ultrasonic vibrations break the essential oil into tiny micro particles, dispersing the oil in a fine mist. These tiny particles are more easily absorbed by the lungs for a greater therapeutic effect on the body, mind, and spirit. It depends solely on the air current already in the room to disperse the mist throughout the room. For those who desire only a small amount of oil to be diffused in a room, this type of diffuser not only works well but can be  beautiful as well.

For Athena and Atlas models, which colors does it use? Can you select just one color or does it change amongst them?

-- The colors that KOKO AROMA essential oil diffuser uses is red, orange, yellow, teal, light blue, purple, and pink. When you press the “LIGHT” button once, it can alternate colors like a slideshow. When you press the “LIGHT” button again, it can ‘fix’ on one color.  You can press it again and it will turn off the light.

How many square feet does this diffuser cover?

-- KOKO AROMA essential oil diffusers disperse a good amount of mist. It covers around 10 x 15 square feet. Enjoy your very own spa in the bathroom, living room, bedroom, or a yoga room.

Can you use your own cologne or perfume instead of the oils?

-- Only 100% natural essential oil can be used in this product. Those containing chemical fragrance, spices, or impurities will cause malfunctioning.

Can you use citrus essential oil in this diffuser?

-- The upper part of the diffuser is made of PP(polypropylene), which is used as container material for yogurt/sour cream tubs, ketchup bottles, medicine bottles. According to researches, it is more stable and less prone to leaching when used properly.
Especially when we are using Citrus essential oil, we would make sure to use room temperature water (NOT hot water) in the diffuser water tank.

How do you clean the diffuser?

-- After using 5-6 times, or 2-3 days, please clean the product as follows. Unplug power cord from base of unit. Remove the outer cover. Pour out any remaining water from the tank. Put one tablespoon of citric acid (white vinegar) in the water tank, and then add just under 50ML of warm water (up to 150 ºF). Leave for 5 minutes, and then drain it. Wipe with a soft cloth. Avoid ultrasonic vibration plate area, which can gently cleaned with a cotton swab.

How long is the product warranty?

-- KOKO AROMA provides a free 200 days product replacement warranty after the date of your purchase. Please keep your sales receipt handy in a safe place.

How often should it be cleaned?  If I use different scented oils in back-to-back sessions will the residue from the previous oil affect the odor of the current scent I am using?  Is it recommended that the device be cleaned before using an different scented oil?

-- The diffuser should be cleaned every 3 – 4 days of use for sanitation and functioning purposes.

If you are using different essential oils, we would recommend cleaning it before switching to the next essential oil.

Be sure to use 100% essential oils on this diffuser, it should not be blended oils with carrier oils, because carrier oils will clog the diffuser and cause malfunctioning. Please see your essential oil bottle for the detailed list of ingredients the oil is made of.

What’s the product replacement process?

-- Before asking for a replacement,

1) Follow the user manual to maintain and clean the diffuser one more time. It may work after cleaning.

2) If not, try the steps in the troubleshooting guide from the user manual.

3) If it’s still not working, simply contact us by using our return form from KOKOAROMA.com or writing us an email. Please specify your order ID, current address, email, and the reasons of the replacement.

4) Once we have received your email, we will email you a prepaid postal office label, so you can ship the defective diffuser back to us.

5) After receiving your defective diffuser, we will ship a replacement to you.

Atlas diffuser auto-shuts off when there is still 50-70 ml of water left in the water reservoir. Will I waste too much essential oil?

-- Due to the round shape of the diffuser, when water reduces to a certain level (50-70 ml), the water cannot flow into the ultrasonic disc pocket, which causes the water bubbles come up, leading to the diffuser stopping. A water sensor lies right beneath the disc, so when no water is inside the disc pocket, it will shut the diffuser down for safety reasons.

For ultrasonic diffusers, most of the aroma will be dispersed within the first hour or two because of the density and volatile properties of the oils. A very little amount of oils stay in the water reservoir when the diffuser auto shuts off. If the water is still fairly fresh, adding more water into the reservoir and using it for the next time will be fine. Otherwise, it is better to dump out the remaining water and pour in fresh water for sanitary purposes.
